| Do I need a permit to begin driving lessons? | ||
NO, but if you are under 18 it is strongly recommended. We can issue you a student license that will allow you to drive only during your lessons. Regardless of your age, a permit is still required for you to get your license. For those under 18 we recommend getting your permit since you are required to have an instructor sign your permit before you are allowed to practice with your parent or guardian. [Top] |

| NO. Neither driver’s education nor training is required by the DMV once you turn 18. However, we strongly recommend taking driver’s training to ensure that you are well prepared for your road test. In some cases driver’s training can even lower your insurance costs, depending on your carrier. [Top] | ||

| How long will it take me to learn to drive? | ||
This depends on many factors, some of which are: • Age - typically young people learn faster. • Nervousness - It’s absolutely normal to feel nervous when starting off, but some people are more nervous that others. • Overconfidence - Someone who thinks they already drive perfectly will tend to block out the advice of others. • Learning Disabilities - The most common is ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). ADD prevents an individual from paying attention for long periods of time. • Physical Disabilities - Some of which make it more difficult to maneuver the vehicle. • Personal Learning Ability - Each person learns in their own unique fashion and at their own pace. Some people may simply need more time to learn. Any of these factors may hamper the learning process, however, we have found that persistence and a strong will to learn can overcome most of these obstacles, so don’t be discouraged! [Top] |
